Most of our formal work is done in full Governing Body meetings, held once a term. We also have four small sub committees.
Analyse School Performance Committee
The Analyse School Performance Committee meets termly to monitor and analyse data on pupil performance and progress. It reviews school performance targets in these areas, both to support and challenge the school. Areas of concern or improvement will be highlighted and discussed at the next full Governing Body meeting.
Performance Management Committee
The Performance Management Committee meets to set targets for the Head and leadership team and assess their performance against them. The Committee makes recommendations to the Pay Committee.
The Pay Committee supports the Governing Body in fulfilling its statutory obligations regarding pay. Its members include the members of the Performance Management Committee plus one or two other governors, and its duties include putting into effect the school’s pay policy, recommending the annual pay budget and keeping abreast of developments in the field. It will also agree the pay progression for the senior leadership team of the school.
The Finance Committee meets at least once a term to review and approve the annual budget. They also look at long term financial plans for the school, reflecting school priorities including staffing plans and plans relating to the repair, maintenance and development of the premises and to recommend action on these plans to the Governing Body.
