Greeting on the Gate

We are very privileged at Henry Cavendish to have a wealth of languages in our community. Each week, we showcase one language spoken by members of our school by greeting people on the gate in that language. To share this with our pupils, Madame Diallo creates an informative PowerPoint with links to help us with pronunciation! Take a look below to see some of the languages that have featured so far this year!

To celebrate Black History Month, we are going to focus this month greetings to African countries and languages. Let’s always remember that we all have the right to speak our own language (Article 30) and follow our family’s way of life.

We are a diverse school which is rich in different languages and cultures, so it is important that we learn from each other and celebrate all languages around the world.
