Executive Head Chef & Food Educator - £48,063 - £51,099

35 hours per week - All Year Round - Start Date July 2024

Our focus at Henry Cavendish is to give children the very best education and the most enjoyable, enriching learning experiences. We are a 4-form entry school across two sites in Balham, SW12 and Streatham SW16, with currently 759 children on roll and over 100 members of staff. 

 

We are working with Chef’s in Schools to bring our catering in-house from September 2024. This has created an exciting opportunity for an Executive Head Chef/Food Educator role to join our fantastic team. You will play a key role to lead on developing, implementing and continuously improving the culinary vision for the school. In addition, we are also opening our own Coffee Stop called Henry’s and we envisage the Executive Head Chef to eventually be supporting this hospitality service. 

 

We are looking for a Chef with a genuine passion for food, strong culinary skills, a creative mindset to develop inspiring dishes. Henry Cavendish is a fantastic place to work. Barista - Henry's Coffee Stop - £8.60 - £12.50 (depending on experience)

Our focus at Henry Cavendish is to give children the very best education and the most enjoyable, enriching learning experiences. To further develop our self-generated income, we are very excited to announce that we will be opening Henry’s Coffee Stop. This will be our very own Coffee Stop, selling a range of everyone’s favourites, including expressos, lattes, cappuccino’s, as well as snacks and drinks. We envisage that we will open 7 days per week starting at 6:30am weekdays.

 

All profits will go straight back into the school and with the right support, we hope this venture will be a real success"Your coffee - their future"

Playworkers - 3:00pm to 6:00pm

We have established a very successful extended schools service called Treetops, which has been running from September 2021. The Treetops team are crucial to the smooth running and organisation of our extended services.   We want our children to feel happy and excited about staying after school and to enjoy one of the many enrichment clubs, snacks and free play which is available from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
