At Henry Cavendish, we have ambassadors who work hard to help others in the school learn all about the important work of Unicef and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
Our ambassadors are selected from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 from our Balham and Streatham sites and over the course of the year participate in Rights Respecting assemblies and raising awareness of UNICEF.
The Rights Respecting Steering Group work closely with the Eco Action Team and the School Council to develop campaigns and strategies on a wide range of issues which link to the UNCRC. In 2018, the focus was the campaign 'Plastic Fantastic?', in which all year groups undertook a project raising awareness of the dangers of plastic pollution on our planet.
