Termly Phonics Stay and Play in Early Years and Key Stage 1

Each full term we hold a ‘Phonics Stay and Play’ session in Reception and Key Stage 1 to raise awareness of phonics and celebrate the progress children have made each term.  This drop-in session for parents and carers will give you the chance to see some of the Phonics activities being used in class and to pick up some ideas for supporting your child with early reading and writing at home.

 

There will be plenty of activities covering everything from pronunciation of sounds and blending and segmenting, to practising reading tricky words and handwriting.  The session runs from 9.00am - 9.20am in classrooms. We look forward to seeing you there!
